I grew up on an orchard in New York’s Hudson Valley, surrounded by the scent of apples and the hum of family life. My earliest memory of baking isn’t exactly a success story — it involves leading my sisters in “borrowing” my mother’s five-pound bags of flour meant for Christmas cookies, opening them all at once, spilling flour across the sofa, and jumping up and down in it like snow. That was my first foray into baking — and my first lesson in creativity (and cleanup).
Over the years, my baking has become a bit more refined — though the same spirit of joy and curiosity remains. Now living in Colorado, I’ve spent countless happy hours perfecting recipes and sharing cookies with friends and family. Their smiles, laughter, and constant requests for “just one more” inspired me to turn this passion into something more.
What began as a simple love of baking has grown into my cottage kitchen — a place where warmth, comfort, and handmade goodness come together. Every cookie is made with care, a dash of nostalgia, and the hope that it brings a little joy to your day.
